Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps Storage Manor Park has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains. Storage Manor Park is committed to conducting business ethically, transparently and with integrity in all our relationships.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Storage Manor Park has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation in any form. We recognise that these abuses are serious violations of fundamental human rights and are incompatible with our values as a responsible storage provider. We will not knowingly engage with any individual, contractor, or organisation involved in such practices and will terminate relationships where credible evidence of non-compliance is identified and not promptly remediated.
All colleagues, contractors and suppliers are expected to uphold this zero-tolerance stance. We promote a culture in which any concerns about unethical behaviour, including potential modern slavery risks, are raised and dealt with promptly and fairly.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Storage Manor Park provides storage services to a wide range of customers. Our operations involve direct employees, contracted service providers and a variety of suppliers, including those that support property maintenance, cleaning, security, equipment, technology and office services. While our direct operations are considered low risk for modern slavery, we acknowledge that risks may exist deeper within multi-tiered supply chains, particularly where goods or services originate from higher-risk sectors or regions.
Supplier Standards and Due Diligence
We expect all suppliers and contractors working with Storage Manor Park to uphold high ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws relating to labour, employment and human rights. As part of our onboarding and ongoing management of suppliers, we may require them to confirm their own policies and controls regarding modern slavery and human trafficking.
Supplier due diligence may include assessment of ownership and operating locations, review of publicly available information, and requests for information on labour practices. Where appropriate, our contractual arrangements may incorporate obligations aimed at preventing modern slavery and enabling us to take action if concerns arise.
Supplier Audits and Monitoring
Storage Manor Park is committed to proportionate monitoring of suppliers based on our assessment of risk. For higher-risk categories or where concerns are identified, we may conduct additional checks, request supporting documentation, or carry out supplier audits. These audits may review workforce practices, recruitment methods, use of labour agencies, wage and working hours information, and health and safety conditions.
Where gaps or weaknesses are identified, we aim to work collaboratively with suppliers to improve standards. If a supplier is unwilling or unable to remedy serious issues within an agreed timeframe, Storage Manor Park reserves the right to review, suspend or terminate the relationship.
Training, Awareness and Responsibilities
Responsibility for implementing this statement and associated procedures rests with Storage Manor Park’s leadership team, supported by relevant managers. We aim to ensure that those involved in procurement, supplier management and site operations understand the risks of modern slavery and how to identify red flags, such as signs of coercion, restriction of movement or retention of identity documents.
Training and awareness-raising activities are designed to encourage vigilance, support consistent decision-making and reinforce our zero-tolerance stance. Employees are reminded that everyone has a role in helping to identify and address potential risks.
Reporting Concerns and Protection
Storage Manor Park encourages employees, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking associated with our business or supply chains. Concerns can be raised through internal management channels or via existing reporting and escalation procedures within the organisation.
We will take all reports seriously and investigate them promptly, sensitively and, where possible, confidentially. No person raising a concern in good faith will suffer retaliation or detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up. Where credible evidence of modern slavery is identified, we will take appropriate action, which may include engagement with the supplier, notification to relevant authorities and support for affected individuals where feasible.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Storage Manor Park is committed to the ongoing improvement of our approach to tackling modern slavery and human trafficking. We recognise that risks evolve over time and that our controls must be regularly reviewed and enhanced. We will assess the effectiveness of our measures by reviewing reported concerns, audit findings, supplier feedback and developments in best practice.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in our business, regulatory expectations and our understanding of emerging risks. The updated statement will be approved at an appropriate senior level within Storage Manor Park and made available to stakeholders as part of our wider commitment to transparency and responsible business conduct.
